Thoughts about Alternative Narratives After Thanksgiving is the title of this show. I published this podcast as a way for people to think about Thanksgiving after the holiday. I love Thanksgiving because for me it is about family and I love my family. But Thanksgiving has a dark origin and a false narrative that upholds White supremacy. I publish this episode, not to make people feel bad about celebrating Thanksgiving. I celebrate it and I don’t see myself changing that. But Thanksgiving does pose a moral paradox. Knowing the truth about Thanksgiving’s history, how do I justify enjoying and celebrating the holiday. Hear my answer and John’s thoughts in the show.
